Rithvik Dhanjani will be soon seen as a participant on Farhan Akhtar’s brand new reality show I Can Do That. Speaking of the show, the actor says, “I do shows that I feel I can add value to. There are many shows (without naming them) that I feel I can’t do and those I have said no to. It may seem like I have done quite a few reality shows, but it’s not like I say yes to all offers that come to me.”
He hasn’t done fiction in a while and the actor says that he is waiting for a good story to come by. “I want to be part of a story that genuinely touches the lives of pe
ople, not something that shuts in a few months, as is a trend these days. And before you know it the show is taken off air due to low ratings.”
Farhan’s show will be featuring celeb contestants taking up various challenges. Speaking of how he has prepared for the show, Rithvik says, “I am a big devotee of Ganpati bappa. When I do my acts, I close my eyes and think of him throughout and make myself believe this is just four minutes of my life. It will be over soon.”
And what would be that one real ‘I Can Do That’ moment in his life? Rithvik reveals, “I’m from Dubai and when I left home for Mumbai to make a name in the entertainment industry, my father wasn’t convinced of my decision. I had fought and left home. Luckily for me, I got good work and that is the case even today. You could say that was my actual ‘I Can Do That’ moment.”
